Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.

What’s Been Happening

. Burglaries

Unfortunately, there has been a burglary in the past week. The offenders have broken into a house with the intention of stealing the car, which they have done and made their escape in it. Ongoing investigation.

. Vehicle Crime

There have been three reports of vehicles being broken into in the past week. These happened on Halford Lane, Sadler Road and Holloway fields. All vehicles were left secure so unknown how they managed to gain access. 

When parking up, please ensure you do not leave anything on display in the car. This is temptation for the offenders.

Also, on the 6th, a vehicle was stolen from Sadler Road.

 If you have a keyless entry car, please store your keys in a faraday pouch. This will stop anyone picking up the signal and being able to open your car.

Your CCTV helps us solve real crimes. We are urging local businesses, residents, and community groups to sign up to our CCTV registry online: CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police. It only takes five minutes and can help us bring more opportunistic burglars and thieves to justice. 

You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com

. In other News

Well, the team have been busy.

Out on patrol and we have stopped several persons that smelt of cannabis. When searched, more has been found on them. 

A male was arrested for another offence, but when in custody and searched, packets of cannabis found on his person.

As people have reported anti-social behaviour at Coundon Hall Park, officers have been patrolling there regularly.

While there, two males were caught sitting in their car with the passenger smoking cannabis.  Both were stop and searched but no other drugs found. Checks on the vehicle, however, was a different matter!!! No insurance, no MOT AND no tax!! Haven’t got a clue what he was thinking but I do know he no longer has the car as we seized it 😊

Another male was caught on Northbrook Road doing Nitrous Oxide cannisters. Another one being dealt with.
